Amcor Lifespan MAP Packaging

Lifespan is a flexible carton liner that maintains the harvest-fresh quality of produce such as fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers. Lifespan extends the storage life and distribution time to keep bulk produce fresh for up to four times longer than conventional packaging methods.

Lifespan bulk carton liners maintain product quality during transport, export, storage and therefore reducing waste levels. In addition the extremely low moisture loss in a MAP package eliminates the need for over-packing to account for weight loss. MAP can also be used to harvest at a later maturity stage for certain fruits.

The concentrations of O2 and CO2 within the equilibrium modified atmosphere depend on the products’ respiration rate, temperature, microbial load, permeability of film, pack weight, size breathable area and volume.
